Daimler set to recall 75,000 Mercedes-Benz cars in the UK due to the risk of fire.

Worldwide, the Company is recalling around one million cars after a number of fires were reported.

According to the Company, no deaths or injuries have been recorded as a result of the fault.

Daimler says the fault affects the fuses in some of its A, B, C, and E-class cars as well as its CLA, GLA and GLC vehicles, which could cause them to overheat in "unique conditions", notably, during start up.

A fix has been implemented in the production of new vehicles and cars already on dealer’s forecourts should be remedied before they are sold, the Company has said.
